About Us

We invented the Stainless Steel Capped Wheel Fasteners. The stainless steel capped wheel nut was invented as a corrosion resistant, environmentally friendly alternative to the chrome plated wheel nut. It consists of a threaded nut insert and a thin walled stainless steel shell, or cap, which fits over the nut hex and provides a decorative covering of the nut end. The technology for producing capped wheel nuts has undergone continuous improvement at our Farmington Hills facility (originally known as Industrial and Automotive Fasteners) since the early 1970s.

Today, we produce well over 200,000,000 stainless steel capped fasteners a year for automakers all over the world.
